TEGGS NOSE - (26/12/04 - BOXING DAY)

Today's photos are from a short walk at Teggs Nose this morning. The Country Park is located to the east of Macclesfield, for a map of the area click here. The weather today was dry, sunny and cold with a maximum temperature of 2˚C.

More information from our previous visits to Teggs Nose can be accessed through these links, 09/05/04 | 27/12/03 | 23/06/03 | 09/03/04.

White stuff as far as the eye could see and clear blue skies made for a beautiful day, it was fairly quiet when we first arrived at Teggs Nose around 10:15am.
The sun was dazzling so low in the sky at the former gritstone quarry.

From the summit Bottoms and Teggs Nose Reservoirs can be seen below, there are also great views from the Country Park looking towards Macclesfield Town and Macclesfield Forest as well as across the Cheshire Plain.

The car park is full when we return to the Visitors Centre with many more people arriving; the sloping fields at Teggs Nose are one of the most popular places in the area for sledging.
