27/04/05 - On the 30th April 2005 a new production of The Knot Garden, an opera by Michael Tippett opens at the Royal Opera House. This co-production by the Royal Opera House and Music Theatre Wales is designed by Turner Prize nominees Jane and Louise Wilson, two of the most highly regarded video artists in Britain today. One of the Boots and Paws photographs depicting the Knot Garden at Little Moreton Hall has been used in the promotional material for the opera. - Interested in walking around in the East Cheshire area? Local author Tom Hulme has published his book 'Walks around Sutton and Langley' with all profits going to the local 'Rossendale Trust' charity which provides care for the mentally and physically handicapped. The eighteen walks in this book will take you into the heart of this unique area of East Cheshire, on the edge of the Peak National Park. Full details of the distances, times and level of difficulty, together with pub details are included at the beginning of each walk. 06/12/03 - Boots and Paws gets a mention in the January 2004 issue of Outdoor Photography Magazine. The site features on Readers' Webs, "OP Reader Nicky Griffiths set up this site in February 2003 and has been regularly updating it ever since. Nicky visits a location, uses her camera to capture her day out, and then reproduces the results on her site, along with location information to help you follow in her footsteps. Areas covered include Ridgegate Reservoir, Longshaw Estate and Chatsworth House, as well as broader views of Devon, Cumbria and Cheshire."
