This evening we return to Macclesfield Forest and embark on a walk around Ridgegate Reservoir, for photos from our previous visits to the forest and further information about the area see 14/08/03 or 20/04/03. For a map of the area, click here. The weather tonight is very dull but dry and fairly warm.

| There is not a breath of wind in the air tonight as we walk in a clockwise direction around the reservoir. Centre photo shows a glimpse of the Leather's Smithy pub through the trees, there are a few people fly fishing on the reservoir tonight. | ||

| The walk is mostly along good paths, but there is a short steep section with steps. The view on the right looks towards the Telecom Tower on Sutton Common. | ||

| Warning signs around the forest and evidence of the felling, along with the smell of freshly cut wood that lingers in the air. | ||
