MACCLESFIELD FOREST - 14/08/03

Tonight we return to  Macclesfield Forest and the Reservoirs, Trentabank and Ridgegate (previous visit 20/04/03 click here). The weather is sunny and dry, but cooler than of late with temperatures of 20˚C. Macclesfield Forest is located in Cheshire, just to the east of Macclesfield and can be reached through the village of Langley.

Above photos all show Ridgegate Reservoir, looking pretty much full of water, despite the recent dry, warm weather.
Ridgegate Reservoir again on the left, centre photo is the Trentabank Reservoir looking across to the Heronry.

Left photo, the path back towards the Visitors Centre at the car park, as shown in the centre photo. The photo to the right showing the sun setting at 8:30pm, the days are beginning to get shorter.
