NORTH WALES - PAGE 3 - 27/03/04

The last page of photos from our visit to North Wales. To see page one click here or page two, click here. All the photos on this page are from the National Trust's Bodnant Garden from 21/03/04.

Bodnant Garden is located on the east side of the Conway Valley, the gardens are signposted from the main A55 North Wales expressway. Centre and right photos above feature Pin Mill, originally constructed as a Garden House in Gloucestershire about 1730. The Mill was restored and moved to Bodnant in 1939.

Bodnant covers 80 acres and overlooks the River Conway, with views across Snowdonia.

The house itself, not open to the public, is home to the Aberconway family and was built in 1792.
There are a number of different features to the gardens including streams, woodland and formal ponds. Colours at this time of year are found from Daffodils, Magnolias, Camellias and early flowering Rhododendrons
