TEGGS NOSE COUNTRY PARK - 01/01/10

Wintry conditions at Teggs Nose Country Park taken on the shortest day of the year, (21/12/09) are included in this first update to Boots and Paws in 2010.

A quiet morning apart from a few people enjoying the sledging and walking conditions at the Country Park, a lot probably put off by bad road conditions - although strangely the minor road up to Teggs Nose was better than some of the major routes nearby.

There are beautiful views from Teggs Nose across the surrounding area, including the Peak District, Macclesfield Forest and across the Cheshire Plain from this short walk starting from the Visitor Centre.

More views of Teggs Nose near Macclesfield including snow on the Visitor Centre, the view across to the summit of Shutlingsloe as the low winter sun illuminates the hills, and the path down to Macclesfield Forest and the frozen Teggs Nose Reservoir in the valley below.
