KNUTSFORD/TATTON PARK - PAGE 2 - 01/02/04

Page two from our visit to Knutsford and Tatton Park. For page one, click here.

More photos of the locals at Tatton Park and centre photo above, planes from nearby Manchester Airport pass overhead.

We walk from the Knutsford entrance through an avenue of Beech Trees that stretch towards the Mansion. The Mansion itself is closed until the end of March but you can visit the gardens at this National Trust Property, financed and administered by Cheshire County Council. Centre photo above shows Melchett Mere.
Goodies in the Gift Shop and Tatton's own speciality food shop, The Housekeeper's Store.

Colourful Gallopers in the Courtyard and a worthy reward for our walking efforts is found in the National Trust Tearoom.

We walk back from the Mansion along the road back towards the Knutsford entrance of the park. The walk is a very approximate 4miles in length. Our route towards the Mansion was along muddy paths, through the Beech Trees, but the walk back along the concrete road was easy going and flat.
