SUNRISE - 17/01/04

A first for Boots and Paws, the weather forecast looked good so I made the effort to get up reasonably early and capture some photos of the sunrise. It is one advantage of the short winter days, you don't have to get up in the middle of the night for the views!

Reflections in Ridgegate Reservoir, Macclesfield Forest, left photo above. Right photo shows a memorial to local historian, Walter Smith, close to the Standing Stone car park at the top of Macclesfield Forest

Photos above also taken from near the Standing Stone car park, around 8:15am as the sun appears over the distant hills.
Some of the locals above, expecting food. Right photo a frosty scene featuring Clough Brook, near Wildboarclough.

Photos above were taken from or near to the A537 Buxton to Macclesfield Road. The early morning mists are quickly being burnt away by the rising sun.
