Photos above are from Craobh Haven, a small but busy yachting marina. Centre photo shows a Orchid growing on the village green.

Carnasserie Castle above, built between 1565 and 1572. The castle was home to John Carsewell, Bishop of the Isles, today the castle is in the care of Historic Scotland.

The defences here were both for security and for show, it was captured and partly blown up in 1685. There are no admission charges, the castle is a short but fairly steep walk from the car park off the A816 road, about a mile to the north of the historic village of Kilmartin.

An old boat that had seen better days on Loch Craignish in the photo on the left. The other photos above are from the small village of Crinan where a series of locks take boats from the Crinan Canal to the Crinan Sea Loch.
