REDESMERE - 01/07/03

Not really a walk tonight, just taking in the views as we pass. Redesmere is located just off the A34 Congleton to Alderley Edge Road in Cheshire, near to the village of Siddington. The weather is dull and there is heavy rain.

There is a small car park near to the lake, it can get very busy in summer, not tonight though, with the bad weather. Apologies for the dull photos tonight!

There are hundreds of waterfowl on the lake, many enjoying the bread on offer from families feeding the birds! There are also a large number of Swallow's buzzing insects near the water surface.

Redesmere has a sailing club based on its banks see www.redesmere.org.uk for more information.

Redesmere is a popular spot with fisherman, known for it's large Carp, it is run by the Stoke Angling Society and is half a mile long.
