MACCLESFIELD FOREST - (26/12/04 - BOXING DAY)

This page shows a few more photos taken last Sunday during a short walk at Macclesfield Forest, Cheshire. The weather was dry, sunny and cold with a maximum temperature of 2˚C.

Bottoms and Teggs Nose Reservoirs shown in the photo to the left above are passed on the way to the forest, centre photo shows golden colours reflected in Trentabank Reservoir close to the Visitors Centre.

Our walk on this afternoon was a short circular route around Ridgegate Reservoir with a small detour to see Trentabank Reservoir and the Heronry (centre photo). The photo to the right above shows Ridgegate Reservoir with Teggs Nose and the Leather's Smithy Pub in the distance.

It's a peaceful looking scene at the forest with no breeze in the air, the area was busier than I have seen it before with many people enjoying the winter conditions and holiday season.
