Windermere Wray Castle Aira Force
Windermere again on the left, these images were taken near the ferry crossing point opposite Bowness-on-Windermere, near Far Sawrey. Centre photo is Wray Castle, owned by the National Trust it is not a real castle and was built in 1840, the grounds are open to the public but the castle itself is leased as a college. On the right a photo of one of the paths leading to Aira Force waterfall.
     
Aira Force Aira Force Ullswater
Aira Force is also National Trust property located just to the west of Ullswater. It is a spectacular site with the waterfall falling 70 feet in height. On the right the western shore of Ullswater.
     
Ullswater Kirkstaone Pass Inn Windermere
Ullswater again on the left. In the centre is the Kirkstone Pass Inn, we approach via the road known as The Struggle from Ambleside. The photo on the right is a view across the northern part of Lake Windermere.
