DUNHAM MASSEY - 12/10/03 - PAGE 2

More photos from our visit to Dunham Massey. For details of where Dunham Massey is located and further pictures see page 1 by clicking here.

Centre photo shows the view from the laundry across the courtyard to the main house. The house itself was extensively reworked between 1905 and 1910, there are magnificent displays in the Edwardian interior of silver, paintings, ceramics and furniture.
Photos on the right and centre show the Elizabethan water powered saw mill. The mill is in working condition and demonstrates the principles of creating power with water.

The 18th century Orangery.

More views from the gardens, with good Autumn colour. Plants include rhododendron and azalea, with a number of specimen trees.

More images of the deer at Dunham Massey, and left photo, the well fed squirrels are starting to bury food in preparation for the winter months.
