A few photos from the shortest day of the year. We visit the winter wonderland around the Cat & Fiddle Pub on the A537 Macclesfield to Buxton Road. The weather is dry but very cold, as you may notice from the pictures!
|As we head toward the Cat & Fiddle from the Goyt Valley the narrow road gets increasingly icy with the first snow of the winter.|
|It is peaceful enough now despite the icy cold wind howling across the open spaces. I wouldn't have liked to have been around when this snow was falling, the conditions must have been bleak yesterday.|
